It’s not as if there isn’t a plethora of interior designers to choose from It’s not as if there aren’t any good ones – Much rarer are the exceptional ones – Particularly when it comes to choosing décor colors to make a homeowner delighted to live within those walls, or the workplace to be a happy one. It’s more unusual when the designer’s talents can also cross continents. I recently emailed Robert photos and details of my home, we also talked on FaceTime. He did the research on paint colors and their names in Australia and came up with a brilliant palette for my home. Last year, I took up his advice and had the larger parts of my house painted with the colors he suggested. As a result, my walls make me feel happy. So, although the larger part of my house was painted, I still had what I call my ‘Rubbish Room’ looking like a lost orphan. I usually keep the adjoining door to this area closed. What a waste of a large room with an outlook into a small garden and a place to watch the world go by. Robert is once more putting his creativity at work for me and is preparing a new color scheme for this forlorn forgotten area. Working with Robert Littlejohn at Interiors Unlimited is a great experience. In 2019 I sold my home and moved to a rental complex. First, I have to say I am thrilled to no longer be a homeowner! We have worked with Robert on multiple projects over the past 3 years. We have remodeled three bathrooms, updated the kitchen floor and fabric, painted the outside of the house, and several smaller projects. What a pleasure it was to work with our designer Robert Littlejohn. We remodeled our kitchen which was a galley kitchen fitting for one person and turned it into the kitchen of our dreams. We began the design discussions in February and construction began the last week of February withe the entire kitchen remodel completed by March 30. That included pushing our a wall, replacing cabinets, countertops, backsplashes and putting in new flooring throughout the entire house. Robert was so great at guiding me to figure out what I wanted. I was overwhelmed with all the choices and could not decide. Robert listened to what I was saying and brought me paint samples, tile samples, flooring samples. He took us shopping to look at faucets and sinks and cabinets and countertops. Had we not had Robert guide us through the process of selecting the right items for us, it would never been completed. He was on it! As it turns out, I absolutely love my kitchen; from the quartz countertops, to the farmhouse sink, to the backsplash to the cabinet pulls - everything turned out exactly as we wanted. Robert worked with our contractor and the vendors and was on site the entire project. If something was delayed or came damaged, which only occurred once, he was right on it to get the item replaced.
